Growing up in an athletic family, Carrie excelled in competitive soccer. She went on to play Division II soccer at the University of Central Missouri. There she was team captain for two years and finished as an All American. After graduating, she was a graduate assistant soccer coach at Maryville University. Carrie then had four beautiful children. Her love for fitness grew and she became certified in multiple fitness formats. She has been teaching for five years, three of which have been local.
